Formed late in 2020, the Australian Tile Council’s Technical Committee’s purpose is to annually review and update the suite of technical collateral (on the Australian Tile Council website), as well as to add new technical items to the website from time to time. The Technical Committee is there to field technical suggestions and requests from Members and prioritise the delivery of technical collateral on the website to deliver the greatest value to Members.

Members are invited to join the Technical Committee to give the working group representation and perspective from a broad range of skills and disciplines across the industry. They meet every three months but regularly discuss and review, update and create our technical collateral in between meetings.

Update February, 2021

The review of the Tiles and Tiling Guide is currently well in progress. We have had our first couple of meetings and are progressing a section at a time with corrections and suggested additions. An example for the need in keeping this document relevant is the recent updated AS ISO 13006-2020 having included separate manufacturing sizing tolerances for rectified tiles.
